Biography
The Viennese singer with Croatian and Slowakian roots is on her way
to capture the European music scene.Everyone who was lucky enough
to see her live knows why: Bella's interpretation of a song is infectious,
unique and outstanding.Her appearance is simply soul - infusing and
she leaves her audience amazed.
Bella was born in Vienna and she is fluent in five languages (German,
English, Slovakian, Croatian and Hungarian). Her father originates from
a Croatian island and her mother is from Slovakia. The Beginning of her
musical career: piano lessons when she was only six years of age.
In 2006 Bella wagner started her solo project with fellow musician and
producer Oliver Werbach and soon released her first album “That’s what I like”
which contains seven unique interpretations of all time classics like Screamin’
Jay Hawkins´ ”I Put A Spell On You“, Bob Dylan‘s “Baby Blue“ or Nina Simone‘s
“Love Me Or Leave Me“.
In July 2009 Bella wagner presented her debut album at the43rd Montreux
Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
Bella wagner is a versatile vocalist conveying her message without stilistic
boundaries.She frequently teams up with musicians and DJs from all across
Europe for feature prosuctions. On the release “Featuring Bella wagner”
(Album 2010) she teamed up with artists like “The Bahama Soul Club”,
“Nor Elle”, “Ahilea”, “Callrider”, "The Men In The Back", “Monilla” and
“Dadamnphreaknoizphunk” for a comprehensive collection of her best
featuring songs where she not only appears as a vocalist, Bella wagner
also shows her talents as writer of the lyrics. Songs in various genres such
as Electro Pop, Bossa, Balkan, Rock, Funk or Fusion with one singer upfront,
Bella wagner.
